Jytra, a growing retail solutions provider, delivers efficient Point-of-Sale (POS) services to diverse businesses. Seeking better control over POS deployment, they approached Oodles for a structured, scalable solution tailored for Odoo environments. The aim was to simplify POS system installation and ensure seamless server operations with minimal manual intervention.
Scope Of Work
The client needed a reliable framework from Oodles to set up, deploy, and run their POS solution efficiently across multiple servers. The project covered key areas such as source code management, database restoration, server-side deployment, and environment setup within Odoo. The goal was to optimize deployment workflows, reduce technical complexity, and boost operational efficiency.
Our Solution
To meet Jytra’s operational needs, our team at Oodles implemented a step-by-step POS Improvement Setup Guide for their Odoo-based systems.
Key Implementations included:
- Downloading the required source code and addons specific to the respective Odoo versions.
- Cloning the custom repository from Git to ensure all custom modules were accurately pulled.
- Installing the necessary Python libraries to create a stable development environment.
- Restoring the client’s database locally to validate operational continuity.
- Setting up and executing the code on the server, enabling a live and functional POS system.
