Scope Of Work

The client sought Oodles' expertise to address inefficiencies in shift planning within their contact centers. The project aimed to develop an automated system using Optaplanner to optimize shift assignments. The goal was to enhance workforce productivity, reduce scheduling conflicts, and ensure optimal resource allocation. The scope of work included integrating Optaplanner’s algorithms to streamline shift planning and improve overall operational efficiency. By leveraging advanced machine learning, AI, and Big Data, Oodles delivered a solution that significantly enhanced Xenialab’s contact center management, supporting their mission to transform customer care models.
Our Solution

Through our solution, Xenialab can benefit from an automated shift planning system that maximizes workforce productivity, minimizes conflicts, and optimally allocates resources in its contact centers. In our solution for Xenialab's project, we provided the following services and technologies:

  • Setup of the project, Git, and Authorization & Authentication for the project, including version control and access management.
  • Setup of Optaplanner utilizing its advanced algorithms for shift planning optimization.
  • Analysis of previous employee rostering builds identifying areas for improvement and mapping additional constraints specific to the contact center management.
  • Debugging of planning scenarios to ensure that the shift planning system functions correctly and efficiently.
  • Provision of Score API for explaining the score that provides detailed explanations of the optimization score generated by Optaplanner, enabling better understanding and decision-making.
