Project Description

Growth99, a healthcare marketing platform empowering clinics and providers with digital tools, sought to enhance patient interaction through a smart chatbot. The client needed a voice-enabled assistant that could automate appointment scheduling across platforms. Oodles designed and delivered an AI-powered chatbot experience using Amazon’s cloud services and scalable full-stack components.

Scope Of Work

The project focused on automating patient engagement through a multi-step chatbot setup. The client required seamless integration between the frontend UI, AWS Lex for NLP, Lambda for logic execution, and Amazon Connect for session handling. Areas of work included chatbot design, backend setup, AWS integration, and deployment orchestration.

Our Solution

To address the client's goal of intelligent automation in patient engagement, the Oodles platform developed a robust, cloud-integrated chatbot system using modern tools and a clearly structured deployment model.

Implementation Strategy:

  • Frontend Development: An Angular-based chatbot interface was configured and deployed. 
  • Backend Configuration: Java-based backend logic was built using Spring and Maven. 
  • Lex and Lambda Integration: Amazon Lex interpreted user inputs, while AWS Lambda (via a custom function named MyFunction) processed those inputs and triggered relevant responses.
  • Deployment Workflow: JAR files were deployed directly into AWS Lambda. 
  • Amazon Connect Bridge: Amazon Connect handled session management and request flow.
