Project Description
Precise Lighting is Nigeria's premier e-commerce platform specializing in home decor lighting. As a market leader, they offer an extensive selection of lighting fixtures for various occasions, catering to the diverse lighting needs of their customers.
Scope Of Work
The project aimed to address several challenges, including the development of a customized cart system, optimization of query execution for extensive product catalogs, the incorporation of seller-specific inventory management, the integration of multiple payment gateways, and the implementation of a planned delivery system with varied costs and timings based on locations.
Our Solution
Our team of 2-3 developers analyzed and modified the Broadleaf Commerce framework according to specified scope including the tech stack SpringBoot 2.0.2, Paystack (PG), MySQL, and Hibernate. We made the following enhancements to their application for its better performance, usability, and accessibility:
- Implemented proposed vendor-inventory system.
- Implemented a detailed product catalog with filters & searches
- Integrated PayStack APIs for payments with the system.
- Optimized Queries for performance.
- Implemented predictable delivery cost and time algorithm for order delivery estimation.
- Implemented ‘Save for Later’ functionality.
- Modified Broadleaf’s cart functionality as per specification.
