Project Description

ESP designs and manufactures advanced detection systems, specializing in fixed toxic and combustible gas detectors, flame detectors, sand detectors, and pig detectors. They approached Oodles Platform to automate information extraction from documents. Oodles implemented OCR technology to read documents and a Similarity algorithm to compare content. This enhanced ESP's systems, improving efficiency, accuracy, and functionality.

Scope Of Work

Our goal for the project is to enhance the capabilities of ESP's detection systems by implementing OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to read documents and implementing a Similarity algorithm to compare the content of the documents. This will enable ESP to automate the process of extracting information from documents, improving efficiency and accuracy. By leveraging OCR and Similarity algorithms, ESP will have the ability to quickly analyze and compare document content, providing valuable insights and enhancing the overall functionality of their detection systems.

 

Our Solution

By implementing the finest services and technologies, we enhanced ESP's detection systems by automating the document processing and analysis workflow, improving overall efficiency and accuracy. Our solution for ESP includes the following services and technologies:

  • Implemented OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology using Pytesseract as the OCR engine. This allows us to accurately extract text from documents, enabling automated processing and analysis.
  • Integrated a Similarity algorithm, specifically the COSIN similarity algorithm, to compare the content of the extracted documents. This algorithm provides a measure of similarity between documents, enabling ESP to identify patterns and detect anomalies.
  • Hosted the services on an AWS EC2 instance, providing a scalable and reliable infrastructure for the application.
  • Utilized Python programming language and the Django framework for efficient development and management of the application.
  • Integrated MySQL database for storing and retrieving document data, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
