Project Description

STS Vehicle Tracking Digitalisation is a project focused on customizing an Odoo-based system to replace manual, paper-based processes used in vehicle tracking operations. The project aims to automate inventory, customer, contract, field service, and accounting workflows while integrating with the Smarttrack system to manage vehicles, devices, SIM cards, technicians’ tasks, and customer subscriptions through a centralized digital platform.

Scope Of Work

The scope includes customization of Odoo to manage inventory items such as devices, SIM cards, tags, vehicles, shipments, and accessories; customer and contract workflows with Smarttrack API integration; accounting and invoicing with automated reminders, suspensions, and terminations; and field service automation covering installations, removals, inspections, SDN digital forms with e-signatures, PDF generation, task management, and notifications. It also includes reporting, role-based security, system integration, testing, deployment, training, and support, along with server setup and configuration using PostgreSQL and required dependencies.

Our Solution

The solution delivers a customized Odoo system installed and configured through a terminal-based setup process, including server preparation, security hardening, package installation, PostgreSQL database configuration, system user creation, and environment setup. It implements automated workflows for inventory management, customer lifecycle management, Smarttrack synchronization, field service operations using tablets, digital SDN handling, invoicing and escalation processes, and reporting, supported by defined security roles, testing, deployment planning, and user training.
