Project Description

The project is about building the MVP version of SmartTerm Live, an OTT-enabled edtech platform designed to deliver real-time virtual classroom experiences. The client wanted to validate a digital learning solution that could support live lectures, user management, and participation tracking. The focus was on providing a lightweight, scalable, and engaging classroom experience through real-time video—similar to OTT delivery frameworks.

 
Scope Of Work

The client required a functional MVP that could operate reliably in a real-world educational environment. The scope included building modules for class scheduling, session hosting via live video, attendance tracking, and user role management (admin, teacher, student). Features like session reminders, secure logins, and OTT-style video playback for recorded sessions were also crucial. The MVP had to be mobile-responsive, modular for fast updates, and compatible with existing edtech tools and APIs. Real-time delivery and content accessibility were central to the platform's OTT approach.
Our Solution

We built and deployed a scalable MVP with the following core components:

  • Developed class scheduling, creation, and attendance tracking modules
  • Integrated a third-party video API for live sessions, optimized for low-latency OTT streaming
  • Created dashboards with role-based access control for admins, teachers, and students
  • Enabled real-time alerts and notifications for classes and platform activities
