Solscan, a Romania-based client led by Marius, approached Oodles to develop a custom blockchain explorer similar to SolanaBeach. The goal was to deliver a robust, user-friendly platform tailored to the Solana blockchain, offering real-time visibility into validator performance, block details, and transaction analytics. The explorer aimed to support ecosystem participants, including validators, delegators, and token holders, with transparent and actionable blockchain data.

The client needed a full-stack blockchain explorer with a responsive UI, efficient backend data processing, and real-time synchronization with the Solana network. The platform had to mimic SolanaBeach.io’s validator listing page and expand on it with enhanced features for data visualization, search, and sorting. The project was scoped for a 4-5 week timeline, assuming access to required Solana APIs. The key requirements included modular architecture, efficient API handling, and a scalable infrastructure ready for production deployment.

To address the client’s requirements, we implemented the following solutions:

• Developed a full-stack web application with React, Redux, and Node.js tailored to Solana’s validator data structure.
• Integrated Solana’s RPC and REST APIs to fetch and display live validator and transaction information.
• Built real-time dashboards that visualize network metrics such as block time, slot status, and staking rewards.
• Enabled advanced search and filtering capabilities for validators based on uptime, stake amount, and commission.
• Deployed the application on AWS EC2 with proper versioning and environment handling using Git and Docker.
• Ensured front-end responsiveness across browsers and devices to accommodate various user groups.
• Tested the platform for performance and load handling with comprehensive QA cycles before handover.
