Project Description
An Italian consulting firm, known for delivering ERP solutions across Europe, needed urgent technical support for a client deploying ERP software via a third-party vendor. Their team sought cloud infrastructure expertise to manage firewall configurations and port access on AWS-hosted Windows servers. The platform enabled secure, real-time collaboration to keep deployment on track.
Scope Of Work
The client required continuous AWS sysadmin support during the ERP software deployment to handle firewall setup, open specific TCP ports, and troubleshoot system-level issues on demand. The work focused on infrastructure readiness, server configurations, and timely tech assistance to support a smooth installation process.
Our Solution
To support the ERP rollout, a dedicated sysadmin was assigned to manage the cloud infrastructure and server-level tasks on AWS. The project utilized a Windows Server instance hosted on AWS, configured specifically for ERP software deployment. The ERP vendor was already installing the application, and the sysadmin ensured secure and optimized setup by:
- Configuring firewalls and opening necessary TCP ports to allow software communication
- Providing on-demand technical assistance to support evolving deployment tasks
- Ensuring minimal downtime and responsive server performance
- Collaborating in real time via the Basecamp project management platform to align with the vendor's requirements
