The project provides a seamless data connectivity layer between Azure and Power BI, enabling real-time reporting and analytics. The project required setting up an end-to-end infrastructure to install and test Power BI Gateway on an AWS EC2 instance. The overall goal was to ensure smooth communication between cloud-hosted data sources and Power BI dashboards with minimal latency and maximum uptime.
Scope Of Work
The client needed a secure and scalable virtual environment on AWS EC2 with the Power BI Gateway installed and configured. This included creating and testing a complete connection flow with Azure datasets. They also required system hardening, performance optimization, and seamless integration between the EC2 instance and Microsoft’s cloud services for data visualization and governance.

Created and configured an optimized virtual machine on AWS EC2
- Installed Microsoft Power BI Gateway on the EC2 instance
- Enabled secure and encrypted communication between Azure and Power BI
- Conducted end-to-end testing for the Power BI Gateway connection

- Applied IAM roles and firewall rules to ensure access control
