Project Description

W.A.V. (Watch Authenticity Verification) is an independent Hong Kong-based organization dedicated to verifying the authenticity of luxury watches using AI. The project required integrating blockchain technology into their authentication platform to issue tamper-proof digital certificates. Oodles provided smart contract development, NFT minting dashboard, IPFS metadata storage, backend APIs, and AWS deployment support.

Scope Of Work

The client approached Oodles with the goal of integrating blockchain technology into their existing watch authentication platform to enhance transparency and prevent certificate tampering. The project aimed to represent each verified certificate as an NFT on the Polygon blockchain, linking it to IPFS-stored metadata and providing an admin dashboard for internal certificate minting, while also supporting secondary-market activities such as resale and ownership transfers.

Our Solution

Through our comprehensive solution, we provided W.A.V. with a secure and transparent blockchain-based NFT certificate system integrated into their existing platform:

 

  • Designed and deployed an ERC-721 smart contract on the Polygon network for minting NFTs, with functions for minting, metadata updates, and ownership transfers.
  • Built a secure admin dashboard allowing administrators to mint NFTs upon certificate verification, with support for public metadata entry, image upload, and customer wallet address linking.
  • Developed a Node.js backend service managing IPFS integration, smart contract interaction via web3/ethers.js, private metadata storage, and REST API access for the main platform.
  • Provided deployment support for the admin dashboard and backend services on the client's existing AWS infrastructure.
