The client engaged Oodles to design and set up a scalable SMTP infrastructure to support reliable outbound email delivery. The objective was to establish a secure, containerized email system with strong authentication, controlled warm-up, bounce handling, and deliverability monitoring to ensure long-term sender reputation and operational stability.
Scope Of Work
Oodles was responsible for setting up the SMTP infrastructure on AWS EC2, including server provisioning, Docker-based MTA configuration, and email authentication. The scope covered SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration, bounce and complaint handling via AWS services, IP and domain warm-up strategies, and monitoring of deliverability and reputation metrics. The engagement also included end-to-end testing, documentation, and operational guidelines for ongoing use and maintenance.
Our Solution
Oodles implemented a containerized email infrastructure on cloud services, enabling flexible scaling and controlled deployments. A secure configuration was established with industry-standard authentication protocols to improve inbox placement and sender trust. Bounce and complaint handling were integrated with notification services, supported by automated management lists. A gradual volume increase strategy was configured to build sender reputation while monitoring deliverability metrics. Centralized dashboards tracked key performance indicators and delivery behavior. The engagement concluded with system validation, deployment documentation, and operational procedures to support ongoing management.
