The AlignAV Monitoring Setup was implemented to centralize monitoring of all IoT and application infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. The environment includes IoT services such as IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, and Function Apps, along with application components like frontend, backend, PostgreSQL database, Application Gateway, and compute resources across separate resource groups.
Scope Of Work
The scope included analyzing Azure resources across IoT and application resource groups, identifying monitorable components, and mapping them to Azure Monitor metrics. A centralized Azure Dashboard was designed and configured at the subscription level to provide cross–resource group visibility. Monitoring tiles were set up for IoT services, Function Apps, Cosmos DB, frontend and backend applications, PostgreSQL databases, Application Gateway, and virtual machines, covering key metrics such as availability, performance, connectivity, CPU, memory, and storage.
Our Solution
We delivered a centralized, Azure-native monitoring solution using Azure Dashboards integrated with Azure Monitor to provide a single pane of glass for both IoT and application infrastructure. The solution offers real-time visibility into system health, device connectivity, application availability, and backend performance metrics, enabling proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and quicker issue resolution while improving overall operational efficiency.
