Oodles delivered a structured capture-to-storage workflow, enabling consistent content curation for future integration.

Scope Of Work

The client needed a streamlined method to capture high-quality screenshots and screen recordings from multiple TV platforms. The project focused on visual asset collection, device setup, and structured storage. Key AOWs included screen capturing, cross-platform setup, and organizing visual data for easy reuse and access.

Our Solution

To support the client’s vision, a multi-platform solution was implemented to facilitate efficient screen capturing and organized storage of visuals from various OTT apps.

Key Features & Implementations:

  • Android TV Setup: Enabled Developer Mode and ADB debugging to capture screenshots using terminal commands. Introduced Scrcpy for real-time mirroring and high-resolution screen recording.
  • Apple TV Integration: Utilized Xcode on macOS to connect with Apple TV through Developer Mode. Screenshots were captured via the “Devices and Simulators” window, ensuring precise visuals.
  • Cross-Platform Standardization: Defined a visual documentation framework to capture Home, Search, Player UI, and Settings from apps such as Amazon Prime, Hulu TV, Netflix, and Google TV.
  • Organized Folder Structure: Developed a consistent naming and folder system to separate Android TV and Apple TV screenshots, allowing easy retrieval and future integration into a web interface.
