WhoYou is a mobile identity application developed using Ionic for the frontend and Django for the backend, with PostgreSQL as the database. The project was introduced to Oodles through a recurring client seeking technical expertise to manage app deployment, update critical certificates, and enhance push notification performance.
Scope Of Work
The client needed to transition the WhoYou mobile app to their own iOS and Google Play developer accounts. This included regenerating certificates for app signing and push notifications. Additionally, the push notification system had to be audited and optimized for better delivery across platforms. After these foundational tasks, Oodles was expected to provide continued support for new feature rollouts, user experience improvements, and backend enhancements as the product moved toward funding and scaling.The application was in active use and required smooth transitioning to client-owned app store accounts, followed by long-term development support.
Our Solution
To meet the client’s needs, we delivered:
- Transitioned the Ionic-based mobile app to client-owned iOS and Google Play accounts
- Regenerated and configured distribution and push notification certificates
- Audited the push notification system and optimized it for timely delivery
- Reviewed and improved Django backend APIs to support frontend updates
- Provided post-deployment technical support for feature development
- Ensured seamless Ionic-Django integration with PostgreSQL stability
- Established a single-point resource allocation model for ongoing support
