Project Description

Fusion Chat partnered with Oodles to design a comprehensive AI workspace centered on a high-impact Chrome Extension and a supporting web platform. The project was envisioned as an omnipresent digital tool that brings advanced AI conversational and creative capabilities directly into the user's browsing context. By prioritizing a browser-integrated experience, the objective was to provide a seamless, multi-role interface for chat, research, and content generation.

Scope Of Work

Oodles was engaged to design across Fusion Chat's full product surface, covering the core web platform and a companion Chrome Extension. The web platform scope included the chat interface, AI image and video generation tools, and a dashboard supporting conversation management. The Chrome Extension scope covered a Side Panel and Search Engine Add-on widget, designed to integrate AI capabilities into the browser experience without disrupting the user's workflow.

Our Solution

A comprehensive UI/UX design system was developed for Fusion Chat across both the web platform and Chrome Extension. The solution established a centralized AI workspace where users can manage creative tasks and conversational history within a single, well-organized interface.

The strategic design architecture and core platform functionalities included:

  • Chrome Extension & Side Panel: Designed a browser-integrated widget and side panel to bring AI research, translation, and grammar tools directly into the user’s active tab.
  • Core Chat & Dashboard: Developed a clean workspace supporting conversation search, list and grid views, and organized history for efficient interaction management.
  • AI Content Generation Tools: Dedicated interfaces were designed for AI image and video generation, integrated naturally to ensure a frictionless move between creative tasks.
  • Search Engine Add-on: A widget was created to extend AI assistance into search results, facilitating context-based research and report creation.
  • Conversion-Driven Upgrade Flow: Designed a clear credit-based usage system and premium upgrade path that surfaces limits without disrupting the core user experience.
