Project Description

Navigating international education involves far more than picking a university. Education Planner partnered with Oodles to prototype a platform that brings the entire journey together, from course discovery and university comparison to visa applications, banking, and accommodation, delivering structured, actionable guidance for students, parents, and working professionals at every stage of the decision.

Scope Of Work

The partnership required Oodles to prototype Education Planner's complete platform experience across four distinct user segments: aspiring students aged 16 to 30, parents and guardians, working professionals, and first-time study abroad explorers. Each segment brought different priorities, knowledge levels, and workflow needs to the table. Oodles worked closely with Education Planner to map these journeys, define interaction models, and prototype flows across course discovery, university comparison, visa support, accommodation, and banking, ensuring the platform served every user type with equal clarity and confidence.

Our Solution

Oodles worked with Education Planner to bring the platform's core user journeys to life across four distinct audience segments, each with different priorities and decision-making needs:

  • Students needed a way to explore and compare courses and universities against career goals and costs, while parents approaching the same decision needed visibility into fees, safety, and return on investment. Both perspectives were designed into a single, cohesive discovery experience.
  • Visa, banking, and accommodation workflows were structured with particular care for first-time users, providing clear, sequential guidance at the steps most likely to cause friction.
  • Working professionals presented a distinct set of research behaviours, requiring separate flows reflecting the decision points of someone evaluating a postgraduate degree, MBA, or certification programme.
  • A dedicated parent and guardian experience was built around transparency, surfacing fees, accommodation, safety, and visa timelines in a format aligned with how this audience evaluates study abroad decisions.
