Project Description

Med-Scanner Core UI & Basic Vital Simulation is an Unreal Engine 5-based healthcare simulation project developed to demonstrate real-time patient vital visualization through immersive holographic interfaces. The project required a functional prototype capable of displaying dynamically changing vital signs, interactive UI effects, and subtle glitch-based visual feedback to create a futuristic medical simulation experience.

Scope Of Work

The project focused on developing a functional Unreal Engine 5 prototype featuring holographic patient monitoring and real-time vital simulation workflows. The scope included UMG-based holographic UI development, Blueprint and C++ vital simulation, dynamic status visualization, glitch effect implementation, parameter customization, UI animation, and clean project architecture for immersive medical simulation functionality.

Our Solution

To address the project requirements, Oodles developed a real-time Unreal Engine 5 prototype featuring holographic patient monitoring, dynamic vital simulation, and immersive visual effects. Key Implementations include:

  • Unreal Engine 5 Environment Setup: Created a clean and organized Unreal Engine 5 project with a dedicated demo level for simulation testing.
  • Holographic UI Development: Designed a semi-transparent holographic interface using UMG with glowing visual effects for futuristic patient monitoring.
  • Real-Time Vital Simulation: Implemented dynamic Heart Rate and Blood Pressure simulation with smooth linear deterioration over time.
  • Dynamic Status Visualization: Enabled real-time color transitions from green to red based on patient condition severity and triggered FLATLINE states during critical conditions.
  • Swiss Cheese Glitch Effect: Integrated subtle flickering and static-based UI glitches to simulate immersive system instability effects.
