Project Description

Nexogic is a healthcare web application designed to facilitate seamless interactions between doctors and patients. The client envisioned a secure, feature-rich platform that allows identity access management, real-time chat and video consultations, patient engagement through notifications, and content publishing for medical professionals. 

Scope Of Work

The client needed a comprehensive web solution that included four key modules to enhance doctor-patient interactions and streamline healthcare communications. First, we implemented Identity Access Management by leveraging AWS Cognito and JWT-based Lambda authorizers to ensure secure authentication and user access control. To facilitate seamless communication, we developed real-time chat and video collaboration tools that support both one-on-one and group interactions between doctors and patients. For improving engagement, we built a robust notification system that delivers timely updates such as appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups through SMS, WhatsApp, and email. Lastly, we enabled content publishing and timeline features that allow doctors to share videos, images, and updates across their network, fostering knowledge sharing and professional visibility within the platform.

Our Solution

Oodles gave the following solutions:

  • Configured AWS Cognito with multifactor authentication and third-party login support (Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.).
  • Built secure backend services with Spring Boot and JWT-based Lambda authorizers behind API Gateway.
  • Implemented real-time messaging and telemedicine features, including:
    • One-to-one and group chat
    • AI-powered chatbot (NLP-based)
    • Video calling for consultations and collaboration
  • Developed a notification engine for patient updates like appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Created a content publishing module that:
    • Supports multimedia uploads
    • Offers visibility controls (public, private, group-specific)
    • Enables hashtag tagging and interactive timeline feeds
  • Ensured code quality and release processes through our in-house Catalyst, DevOps, Infra, and PMO teams.
  • Delivered the frontend in ReactJS, backend in Spring Boot, and used PostgreSQL as the primary database.
