Project Description
Telemedicx is a fully functional telehealth web platform offering secure video consultations, appointment scheduling, real-time messaging, and patient engagement tools. As the platform matured, the client sought to refresh its UI to align with modern design standards and deliver a more professional look and feel. The redesign needed to maintain CSS-driven customizability while enhancing user experience across devices.
Scope Of Work
The client required a design-led update to the existing live application. The primary goal was to uplift the overall visual design through cleaner layout structures, updated component styles, and a more intuitive interface—without disrupting current functionality. The UI had to remain flexible, with configurable header, background, and button color options using simple CSS changes. Additionally, the client requested a critical UX evaluation, followed by recommendations for incremental improvements on a per-page basis.
Our Solution
To modernize the platform while ensuring design flexibility and performance, we delivered the project in structured stages:
- Delivered a Stage 1 redesign proposal with a new UI theme, layout concepts, and updated design language, supported by 2–3 sample pages
- Applied the approved design to the staging environment in Stage 2, updating global CSS, component libraries, and reusable elements for scalability
- Ensured continued support for dynamic UI customization (header, background, and button colors) through easily adjustable CSS variables
- Tested the new UI across browsers and devices for visual consistency, responsiveness, and accessibility
- Conducted a Stage 3 UX evaluation (bonus scope), identifying high-impact areas for usability improvements and offering detailed UI/UX mockups per page
- Recommended UX enhancements including better hierarchy, streamlined navigation, improved form interactions, and visual clarity across user journeys
