Project Description
Transleqo, an AI-powered translation platform, helps businesses deliver multilingual content in rare languages such as Chukkies, Sonam, and Maori. To scale their language capabilities and reduce redundancy in translation workflows, the client required a robust Java API integrated with Translation Memory. Oodles implemented a Spring Boot-based API with Elasticsearch to deliver fast, context-aware translations.
Scope Of Work
The client sought Oodles to accelerate translation processes and maintain quality across language pairs. The project involved designing a Java API with Translation Memory, configuring Elasticsearch for real-time search, and setting up scalable deployment on AWS. Key AOWs included backend development, elastic indexing, and infrastructure configuration.
Our Solution
To meet the client’s goals, Oodles built a resilient translation engine backed by a high-performance search and memory layer. The Java API was developed using Spring Boot 2 with Hibernate and JPA for seamless data mapping.

- Translation Memory API: Retrieves previous translations in milliseconds using indexed queries.
- Elasticsearch Integration: Enables real-time text matching and fuzzy logic for accurate suggestions.
- Multi-language Pairing: Supports translations between English and lesser-known languages like Chukkies and Maori.
- AWS Infrastructure Setup: Configured EC2, RDS, and Elasticsearch domain for production-grade performance.
- Kibana Dashboards: Offers query visualization and log insights to optimize translation workflows.
