Project Description

A Sweden-based research initiative focused on international standards for distributed systems partnered with Oodles to revamp its outdated static HTML website. The client sought a modern, responsive interface without altering its original structure or content. The engagement involved rebuilding the site using Django, Tailwind CSS, and Alpine JS to meet accessibility, SEO, and performance benchmarks.

Scope Of Work

The client sought Oodles to replace a static legacy website with a scalable, standards-compliant platform. The project covered UI/UX redesign, responsive layouts, and compliance with SEO and accessibility audits. Key areas included frontend development, page migration, and integration with performance monitoring tools like Sentry and loader.io.

Our Solution

Oodles implemented a structured two-step development plan to modernize the website while preserving its original content and hierarchy.

  • Custom UI/UX Designs: Delivered two design prototypes—each with top and side navigation. 
  • Responsive Frontend with Tailwind CSS: Used Tailwind’s utility-first framework.
  • Interactive Components via Alpine JS: Enabled lightweight interactivity without the overhead of large JavaScript frameworks.
  • Scalable Backend Using Django: Structured all pages using Django for modular routing, security, and template rendering.
  • Performance Monitoring with Sentry: Integrated for real-time error tracking and smoother post-deployment maintenance.
  • Load Testing via loader.io: Simulated high user traffic to validate server readiness and backend responsiveness.
