As part of the broader Fusion UX project, a client approached Oodles to design the UI/UX for Fusion Chat, an AI-powered multi-tool platform built to eliminate the friction of switching between multiple AI tools. The platform required a design system capable of housing conversational AI, image generation, video generation, and productivity workflows within one unified, intuitive workspace.
Scope Of Work
Oodles was engaged to design across Fusion Chat's full product surface, covering the core web platform and a companion Chrome Extension. The web platform scope included the chat interface, AI image and video generation tools, a credit-based usage system, premium upgrade flows, and a dashboard supporting conversation management, search, and list and grid view organisation. The Chrome Extension scope covered a Side Panel and Search Engine Add-on widget, designed to bring Fusion Chat's AI capabilities directly into the browser experience without disrupting the user's browsing context.
Our Solution
Oodles delivered a comprehensive UI/UX design system for Fusion Chat across both the web platform and Chrome Extension.
1. Core Chat and Dashboard Experience: The chat interface and dashboard were designed to support efficient AI interaction management, with conversation search, list and grid view switching, and organised chat history built into a clean, navigable workspace.
2. AI Content Generation Tools: Dedicated interfaces were designed for AI image generation and AI video generation, integrated naturally into the platform so users could move between creative and conversational tasks without leaving the workspace.
3. Credit and Upgrade System: A credit-based usage system and premium upgrade flow were designed with clarity and conversion in mind, surfacing usage limits and upgrade prompts without disrupting the core experience.
4. Chrome Extension: The Side Panel and Search Engine Add-on widget were designed to extend Fusion Chat's capabilities into the browser, with quick actions covering research, report creation, translation, grammar correction, and image and video tools, alongside tab attachment functionality for context-based AI assistance.
Fusion Chat's UI/UX establishes a centralised AI workspace where users can chat, create, and manage creative tasks within a single, well-organised interface across both web and browser contexts.
