In the evolving digital prenatal care ecosystem, expecting parents increasingly seek secure, accessible ways to relive and share ultrasound moments beyond clinic visits. BabyFlix connects imaging centers and families through a cloud-based ultrasound gallery. Facing performance limitations, slow uploads, and video processing inefficiencies, BabyFlix partnered with Oodles to modernize its platform architecture and elevate user experience.
Scope Of Work
BabyFlix engaged Oodles to stabilize and optimize its prenatal media platform, experiencing frequent application dysfunction, delayed video uploads, and growing processing backlogs. Our team performed a comprehensive assessment of the existing system architecture, media workflows, and streaming infrastructure to identify performance bottlenecks impacting scalability and usability.

Our Solution
Oodles partnered with BabyFlix to transform its prenatal imaging platform into a high-performance, cloud-optimized digital experience. By reengineering media workflows and strengthening streaming infrastructure, we enabled seamless ultrasound uploads, faster processing, and reliable global access for users and healthcare providers.
Key Implementations Included:
• Automated ultrasound video uploads using AWS S3 event-triggered workflows integrated with Kaltura
• Enhanced video streaming delivery leveraging Wowza-based streaming infrastructure
• Native iOS application development using Swift for improved performance and usability
• Optimized content management architecture powered by Drupal and MySQL
• Intelligent media handling enhancements supported by IoT and machine learning integrations
• Performance tuning, eliminating upload backlogs, and improving application responsiveness
