Project Description

Crop Diagnostix, an innovative agri-tech company focused on crop health diagnostics, partnered with Oodles to develop the front end of their mobile app. Built with Kotlin and Swift for native performance, the app will integrate with in-house back-end services to provide seamless and intuitive experiences for both growers and agronomists.

Scope Of Work

The client aimed to provide a mobile-first solution for crop disease detection and analysis. They sought a reliable build and deployment process with Oodles that supports Android and iOS platforms. The project covered development environment configuration, Git-based code management, and seamless build setups to ensure consistent app performance across devices.

Our Solution

To accelerate the development of Crop Diagnostix, we implemented an efficient configuration strategy for both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration.

Key implementations included:

  • Cross-platform Environment Setup: Configured critical tools, including Android Studio Giraffe, Gradle 8.9, JDK 21.0.3, and Xcode 16, to ensure platform stability and compatibility across devices.
  • Repository Cloning & Branch Strategy: Utilized Git with a delphi branch to streamline code contributions and simplify version control, enhancing team collaboration and project efficiency.
  • Custom Build Configuration: Optimized Gradle and Xcode settings for faster compilation and effective debugging, ensuring smooth app performance.
  • Device Testing Integration: Integrated testing on both emulators and real devices, enabling rapid feedback cycles for continuous improvement.
  • Git Collaboration Workflow: Established a structured and secure process for pulling, committing, and pushing code changes, ensuring efficient team collaboration and maintaining code integrity.
