Scope Of Work
The client faced delays in developer onboarding and challenges in maintaining backend connectivity across environments. The goal was to establish a unified setup for source control, cloud authentication, environment configuration, and mobile app deployment. The work covered GitLab integration, Google Cloud SDK setup, Python and Flutter environment configuration, and device-ready testing workflows.
Our Solution
To deliver a streamlined deployment pipeline, the project implemented a comprehensive guide supporting both backend and mobile environments. The strategy centered around setting up a fast, replicable onboarding process using open-source tools and flexible configuration options. Key features implemented:
- GitLab Integration: Enabled version control and secure repository access using pre-configured credentials.
- Virtual Environment Setup: Leveraged Python 3.10 for dependency isolation and project stability.
- Google Cloud SDK Integration: Provided a secure and authenticated connection to client-side services.
- Backend Deployment: Utilized FastAPI with Uvicorn for rapid server launch and hot-reloading support.
- NGROK Tunneling: Facilitated external API access for physical device testing.
