Project Description
ExamWorks, a leader in healthcare services such as IMEs, peer reviews, and Medicare compliance, needed an automated system for data extraction. They sought to streamline their data handling process. Oodles developed a custom email processing application integrating with Outlook. This solution used advanced parsing algorithms and NLP to accurately extract structured data from various document formats, meeting ExamWorks' needs efficiently.
Scope Of Work
ExamWorks required an automated system to read emails, extract data from attached documents, and save the extracted information in a predefined JSON format. Our team offered a comprehensive solution by developing a custom email processing application. This application integrated with Outlook to automatically retrieve and parse emails, extracting relevant data such as patient information, medical reports, and diagnostic details. We implemented advanced parsing algorithms and utilized natural language processing (NLP) techniques to accurately extract structured data from diverse document formats.
Our Solution
Our solution for this project encompassed the following services and technologies:
- Utilized Graph API (for reading Outlook emails), Python (for scripting and data extraction), Gemini (for PDF data extraction), and NLP techniques (for accurate data parsing).
- Developed a custom application integrated with Outlook to automatically retrieve and parse referral emails, extracting relevant data.
