Area Of Work: Odoo Implementation
Project Description

Virbac India, a leading animal healthcare company, approached Oodles to develop a centralised Odoo-based planning system covering three critical supply chain functions — sales forecasting, production planning, and procurement. The requirement was a connected, data-driven platform that could reduce manual planning efforts, improve accuracy, and provide decision-makers with reliable forward-looking insights.

Scope Of Work

The project required Oodles to design and implement a multi-module Odoo solution tailored to Virbac's supply chain operations. The system needed to support forecast generation across an extended planning horizon, translate forecasts into production targets, and calculate raw material requirements against live stock and Bill of Materials data. The scope also included role-based access controls and an audit module to track changes and flag sensitive updates in real time.

Our Solution

Oodles delivered a modular, integrated Odoo planning platform consolidating Virbac India's forecasting, production, and procurement workflows into a single controlled environment.

Key deliverables included:

  • Forecasting module supporting multiple forecasting methods, manual overrides, workflow approvals, and accuracy reporting
  • Production planning module auto-generating production schedules based on stock levels, forecast data, and master parameters with export functionality
  • Procurement module calculating raw material requirements with gap analysis, purchase recommendations, and a shortage visibility dashboard
  • Role-based access controls configured across planning and supply chain functions
  • Audit module tracking system-wide changes with real-time alerts for sensitive updates and approval workflows for deletions

The platform consolidates what were once disparate planning processes into a single, governed system — bringing consistency and control to Virbac India's supply chain operations.
