Project Description

Ethan Weiser approached Oodles to edit a multicam YouTube series built around gameplay-driven content. The requirement was to convert pre-assembled timelines into tight, engaging episodes using synced camera feeds, gameplay overlays, and narration. The focus was on delivering near-final cuts that matched an existing style while maintaining pacing, clarity, and viewer engagement.

Scope Of Work

The project required working on pre-synced multicam timelines with multiple camera angles and gameplay tracks. The scope included trimming non-essential footage, managing picture-in-picture gameplay, structuring episodes from intro to ending, and maintaining clean transitions. It also involved aligning edits with narration flow, reducing unnecessary gameplay moments, and preparing files for a downstream finishing workflow.

Our Solution

Our solution for Ethan Weiser focused on executing precise edits within an existing workflow while maintaining consistency and clarity:

  • Delivered clean multicam edits from pre-assembled timelines by selecting appropriate camera angles and reducing overuse of close-up shots to maintain visual stability and continuity
  • Focused on pacing by trimming silence, redundant explanations, and inactive gameplay segments to keep the content engaging and aligned with intended episode flow
  • Structured gameplay and reactions to feel immediate and synchronized, ensuring key moments were shown with corresponding reactions without delay
  • Refined transitions between rounds by removing unnecessary downtime and maintaining a clear narrative progression from start to finish
  • Adapted to large file handling, evolving timeline structures, and revision cycles while ensuring project files remained usable for the finishing stage
