Marian Maro from Global Outsourcing approached Oodles to create short-form educational videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. The goal was to transform talking-head footage and scripts into high-retention videos with clear pacing, structured messaging, and clean visuals for content focused on Spain, digital nomad life, and immigration.
Scope Of Work
The project required editing short-form vertical videos from raw footage and scripts into 20–50 second formats optimized for retention. This included clean subtitle integration, pacing control, jump cuts, and subtle zooms while maintaining a consistent visual style. The work involved aligning edits with a provided reference video and delivering a demo under an hourly tracked workflow.
Our Solution
Our solution for this project focused on structured execution under limited feedback and single-pass evaluation conditions:
- Analyzed the reference video and script to decode pacing, hook placement, and subtitle structure required for retention
- Built the edit around message clarity, ensuring each line was timed for readability and comprehension
- Designed clean subtitle formatting with controlled line breaks to match educational consumption patterns
- Applied subtle zooms and jump cuts to maintain engagement without distracting from the core message
- Balanced pacing to avoid rushed delivery or dead space, critical for informational content
- Matched visual tone and transitions to a clean and professional style instead of trend-driven editing
- Delivered the demo within estimated time while maintaining accuracy in pacing and formatting
- Prepared the workflow for scalability into ongoing production despite no iteration window or feedback loop
