Project Description

Ultimus Architecture required videos to promote engineering services across digital platforms. Daniel McCaulley approached Oodles to create short-form videos that could communicate clearly without relying on sound. The focus was on building structured, caption-led content using a mix of real visuals and AI-generated elements while keeping messaging simple and usable.

The project involved creating multiple short-form videos across brand, product, and motion categories for social platforms. Each video required structured scripts, caption-first storytelling, and clear visual direction. The work included combining AI-generated assets with real imagery, maintaining readability, and delivering outputs in social-ready formats with consistent pacing, timing, and messaging.

Our solution for Ultimus Architecture focused on building clear, usable video content under evolving direction:

  • Built each video around caption-first storytelling with structured scenes to ensure messaging remained clear without sound and easy to follow in short viewing windows.
  • Shifted visual direction from AI-heavy outputs to realistic jobsite imagery where required, aligning content with the brand’s practical positioning and audience expectations.
  • Structured scene timing and pacing to improve readability, ensuring every text element stayed on screen long enough for clear comprehension.
  • Created flexible video formats designed for social platforms, starting with vertical layouts and adapting them for other aspect ratios without disrupting the core edit.
  • Managed multiple revision cycles by implementing detailed feedback, correcting text, timing, and visual inconsistencies while maintaining continuity across all videos.
